Cable Beach
Cable Beach
A mirrored-glass in the stillness of sleep
Shadows stir in the whispering deep
A gentle breeze
Breathes in my ear
Soothing my mind
Waking the fear
Grains of sand flicker in space
Invisible rock pointed and round
They fly against my waking face
Silenced by gravity and bound to the ground
Blades of stone and ancient glass
Amber, jade, russet and fawn
Journey towards the final horizon
clear as my memories of the earliest dawn
Dry leaves circling sand
They exfoliate the land
Turning fresh green to skeleton leaves
Where the land and sea collide forever
And breathe into eternity
